Bio - Information about your tutor
I graduated from UC Berkeley as an Interdisciplinary Studies Field Major with a concentration in Education in May ’06. In Fall ‘06, I will begin my M.A. /Ph.D. program of education at UCSB, where I will continue studying issues regarding curriculum and instruction, educational policy, literacy acquisition, and learn how to best develop new school/university connections. I am extremely dedicated to and passionate about the field of education and it is my life-goal to help others gain the skills necessary to succeed in the classroom, gain confidence about their abilities and aspirations for the future, and to find a love in learning. In elementary and middle school, I tutored after school. In high school, I was a home-visiting tutor, where I visited my pupils’ homes and created individualized worksheets, quizzes, etc. to prepare for exams in Spanish, Chemistry, Math, English, and for the G.E.D. In college, I have tutored elementary, middle, high school, and peers at the university level.
